Background

Over ten years ago, Ceci’s eldest child was identified as having a reading disability.  Determined to support her son, Ceci embarked on a journey that eventually culminated in The Alphabet Group today.  Having witnessed firsthand the impact that a reading disability can have both on a child’s confidence and their ability to fully participate at school, Ceci is passionate about early reading assessment and intervention when persistent difficulties arise.

Credentials

Ceci obtained her Wilson Reading System® Level 1 Certification with Wilson Language Training® in 2010.  She is an Ontario Certified Teacher, with Primary/Junior Basic Qualifications, Special Education  Part 1 and Reading Part 1 Additional Qualifications.  Her education includes a BSc in Psychology (University of Toronto), a BEd (Lakehead University) and an MTS (University of Trinity College).  Recent professional development includes:
